ISGB/B&B Convergence Update

Well, they sent me an email yesterday. We didn't make the cut. The whole we had 140 entries and could only take 48. It was a major bummer for me. I think that I am just not thinking and working big enough when I create my pieces. Sigh, someday i will make the cut. Heehee. Thanks all for your support. Hugs all.

New doll Finished

It Was A Dark and Stormy...Doll
I sat down last night and decided that I needed to work this doll up. I started by glueing on a small clay face cab and 3 matching buttons with the shankes removed. I beaded it up using Size 8 Hemitite colored seed beads, size 6 Black Seed beads and 3 mm Cube beads in Black. I accented it with a silver face bead and 2 silver beads on the bottom. She measures approx. 6.5 inches total length. It was a great feeling to get a doll worked up after such a long brake from them.

Busy, Busy, Busy...

...just wish it was with beading. Work seems to be taking up all of my time. I have however managed to get my piece for the ISGB and Bead and Button Convergence Challange that I signed up for. I will be sending in my photos this week and hoping I am going to make the cut. I was paired with a wonderful Lampwork Artist: Lara Lutrick, aka Beads By Lara. Sorry I haven't posted...

...but I started working full time at Thanksgiving and I have been working hard to juggle Home life, Work and Beading. Heehee, so far beading is on the back burner much to my dismay. I find Beading to be a great stress reliever. I am hoping with the New Year, I can find a way to work it back into my routine slowly so that I am spend a little time each week working on something. Keep checking back as I am going to try and update a few times a month at least.
